What do Blue Steel and Chlorine have in Common?
Tuesday at the Custom.
For those of you stuck in the library mid twenty-five page research paper, or desperately trying to
learn ten weeks of Immanuel Kant, I feel for you... but yes, you did miss out big time.
The scene for Custom's last Tuesday of the year was definitely a mix of hard A, senioritis, pre-graduation jitters and other party variables. While the WHATDANCEPARTY crew caught us all doing our best blue steel, the EPIC 09 LMU Seniors stole the show in more ways than one.
Though many of us won't admit it, Custom has been more than just a little part of our party schedule. Every Tuesday, hot as hell or freezing ass cold, we all drag ourselves out, head up to the bar and watch the shenanigans commence. Even if we tell ourselves that we're "only gonna stay for an hour or so" or "only have a couple drinks," we all have to admit that never really happened ;p
So as we say goodbye to the Custom for another summer, I wanted to recap, some of the BEST and WORST that we've seen this past year:
1. Opening Night, Dancers/Strippers in the cage in the middle of the pool. Please tell I wasn't the only one who thought that was umm... whats the politically correct way of saying this... not what I had expected that night.
2. DJ BONES & DASH/// - Not enough props gentlemen. You guys made Tuesday nights worth our time. Thank you for providing us with dirty dirty beats all year long. Yes, you may have had to put up with noise complaints, and constantly getting moved around, but you still killed it every time. Your sick skills will be sorely missed.... damn I think i just saw a tear.
3. Cabo-Tequila shots - Honestly I don't remember the whole night, I'm sure you didn't either... which is exactly why its going up :)
4. Halloween - Not the actual date (because everyone was rolling balls at HARD), but that Tuesday. There were only few costumes that night, but ones that made an appearance were definitely a "crack" up, (if you know what i mean).
5. Freshmen Mondays - a.k.a. hot freshie sperminated mess. I don't want to elaborate too much, but for those of you who experienced it, you know what I'm talking about. Damn though, the Freshmen sure know how to break it down, especially with all that pole dancing.
6. Falling down the stairs - Hey girls, we've all done it at one point. Heels, stairs, a couple of spilled drinks... Its almost a Custom right of passage. As I heard someone say, "hey, the shorter the skirt the better the fall, you go girls!"
7. Pre-Game/ Post- Game - It may not happen at the custom, but its definitely Custom induced. Who says we cant party like its Friday on a Tuesday?
Finally For my Number 8, I have to give a shout out to the Pool Jumping Seniors.
It took some time, but after a few drinks and a few instigators taking a dive, at 1:08 am the pool took center stage as our very own favorite party animals cannon-balled into the pool. Even though it was about 10 degrees outside and a surprising number of you were wearing white t-shirts, you all manned up and left us with a memory will never forget.
What will we do without you next year? Our lives will be a little less neon, a little more coherent and a lot more sober. You guys were the life of the party, our "Cheap Thrills," our "Soulwax," our "Lights and Music," you put a "B.O.U.N.C.E" in our step and its needless to say, we will miss you "Day n Nite."
